PERSONALLY

I love to travel with my family. There is so much to experience and learn when meeting people from another culture or background, whether thats 10,000km away or just 100km down the road.

Most afternoons after school we seem to be at the beach; summer or winter doesn’t really matter.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I started my professional career in Public Relations and Tourism Marketing in Sydney; the highlight being when I was a Communications Specialist at Destination NSW when Sydney and Australia was on show to the world during the 2000 Olympics.

I then spent 18 years living in Cusco, Peru where my husband and I started a successful charity and volunteer program supporting rural mountain communities in the Andes. We also helped local women build their own social enterprise business so they could provide for their families - something they are very proud of. We didn’t seem to be busy enough so we decided to have a couple of kids and also start up a travel agency to show-off the absolute beauty of Peru and its people.

I learnt a lot on the go - the sink or swim way, which I think is the best way to learn. Through all the ups and downs, I now have well-rounded knowledge of how small businesses work and what they need to survive and thrive.

WHAT ARE MY WORK PASSIONS?

I love helping other small business owners get back to enjoying their work and not slaving away at the stuff that is either too hard, boring or time consuming. I would say I’m best at marketing but I’ve done a bit of everything so helping out with whatever is needed is what I enjoy. Plus, it’s pretty nice to work from home with hours that suit my lifestyle and family.
